Mustangs Continue Making History: Delta Beach Volleyball Secures #4 Seed in NorCal Playoffs
STOCKTON, CA — The San Joaquin Delta College beach volleyball program continues its historic 2026 campaign, reaching yet another milestone as they prepare for the postseason. Following a dominant regular season, the Mustangs have officially captured the #4 seed in the Northern California Team Playoffs.
Delta (19-3) enters the NorCal Team Regionals this Tuesday, April 28, 2026, amidst the most successful run in the program's history. Having already secured their first-ever Big 8 Conference championship and shattering the school record for single-season wins, the Mustangs are now focused on a deeper goal: a trip to the State Championship.
The #4 seed is a testament to the depth of the 2026 roster. Led by a powerhouse sophomore class—including Rein Bocage, Hadlee Gray, Louise Oliveira, Chase Silva, and Michaela Singh —the Mustangs have transformed from contenders into a regional powerhouse.
"This season has been a series of 'firsts' for Delta beach volleyball," said Head Coach Molly Hummel. "In a region where only six teams earn a postseason berth, securing the #4 seed is a direct reflection of this group's relentless work ethic. I am incredibly proud of what we've built together, and we are ready to carry that momentum into the playoffs."
