San Joaquin Delta College is proud to announce the hiring of Harmen Sidhu as the new head coach of the Mustangs baseball program.
A Bay Area native and former NCAA Division II National Player of the Year, Sidhu most recently served as Head Baseball Coach at Los Medanos College, where he spent two highly successful seasons. In his first year in 2024, he broke the school record for conference wins and tied the overall win record. That same season, he was named Bay Valley Conference Coach of the Year after leading the team to a conference championship and a trip to the Super Regionals. In his second year in 2025, he continued that momentum, capturing a share of the Bay Valley Conference championship and once again reaching the Super Regionals; with an overall impressive record of 60-26 during his time at LMC.
Prior to LMC, Sidhu served as Associate Head Coach and Pitching Coach at Diablo Valley College, where he led the pitching staff to top-five state rankings in both strikeouts and ERA. Prior to DVC, he spent two seasons at the University of California, Berkeley, mentoring 10 MLB draft picks, including first-rounder Dylan Beavers, and producing five top-10 round draft selections.
Sidhu's coaching journey follows an accomplished playing career. A standout at College Park High School in Pleasant Hill, he led his team to its first North Coast Section Championship and earned All-League and All-Bay Area First Team honors. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sonoma State in 2013 and went on to earn a master's degree in Exercise Science & Biomechanics, also Magna Cum Laude, from the University of the Southwest.
Coach Sidhu is excited to join the Delta Family and continue the tradition of Excellence at Delta College. His passion for developing student-athletes aligns perfectly with the college's commitment to athletic and academic success.
