The women's basketball team (currently ranked #1 in the state) improved to 24-1 (11-0 Big 8) with two victories last week. On Tuesday they defeated Cosumnes River 99-37 and on Friday they beat Santa Rosa 78-24. Leaders for the Mustangs were Donja Payne (24 points and 9 rebounds vs. CRC) and Vanessa Cochrane (18 points vs. SRJC). The team returns to action Tuesday at American River. The game is set to tip-off at 7:30p.
