Mustang to Warrior: Delta’s Paige Taylor Commits to Stanislaus State
Sophomore setter Paige Taylor has officially signed to continue her career at Stanislaus State University in Turlock. A local product from Oakdale, Taylor's journey to the Warriors is a story of resilience; after overcoming a severe kidney injury in 2023, she returned to lead the state in assists per set (12.10).
Taylor will bring her "Warrior" spirit to the Stanislaus State Volleyball Program, which competes in the highly competitive CCAA (NCAA Division II). Her ability to run a fast-tempo offense and her defensive versatility as a setter/libero make her a key addition to the 2026 Warriors roster.
Hummel on Taylor: "Paige's ability to lead, compete, and overcome adversity speaks to her true character," said Head Coach Molly Hummel. "She leaves a legacy at Delta, and we are grateful she was a Mustang. We know her abilities as a strong leader will translate well to the next level. We will miss her in our gym dearly."
